# ConfigBot for ServiceNow Release – August 8th, 2026

# Enhancements



1. A new worksheet, **"SecOps - VR,"** has been added to the **Upgrade Analysis** workbook.
    * **SecOps - VR** (Security Operations – Vulnerability Response) is used to validate the impact of changes introduced in the latest release notes.

2. A new **"Identifier Record Value"** column has been added to the configuration sheet of the **Class Manager** component.
    * This column is used during **Compare Iteration** to determine how records are compared. The records are compared based on the selected value in **Identifier Record Value** column.

3. A new **"Recommended Fields Record Value"** column has been added to the configuration sheet of the **Class Manager** component.
    * This column is used during **Compare Iteration** to determine how records are compared. The records are compared based on the selected value in **Recommended Fields Value** column..

We’re expanding  **ConfigBot’s** capabilities with the launch of additional new modules.

### Group & Tags
In ServiceNow Security Operations, **Security Tags**, **Groups**, and **Tag Rules** are used to categorize and manage records such as security incidents, observables, and vulnerable items while enforcing access controls.

With **ConfigBot for ServiceNow**, you can create and manage **Security Tags**, **Groups**, **Tag Rules**, and other related configuration records. The **Compare** feature enables you to identify and review configuration differences between ServiceNow instances, helping maintain consistency, strengthen governance, and streamline configuration management across environments.

### Email Parsing
**Email Parsing** in ServiceNow processes incoming emails and extracts structured information to automatically create or update records.
With **ConfigBot for ServiceNow**, you can create and manage **Email Parsing** configurations. 

The **Compare** feature enables you to identify and review configuration differences between ServiceNow instances, helping maintain consistency, strengthen governance, and streamline configuration management across environments.
