ConfigBot WD - How to add and update Reorganization in Core HCM.

CORE HCM – Reorganization

 

The following article will help explain on how you can add or update a reorganization in Workday through Configbot.

 

  1.       Enter your Username and Password and click at the submit button to login.

 



  1.       Navigate towards the "Home screen" and click on the "Core HCM" module tile.

 





  1.       Select the workspace that best suits your preferences or requirements.

 



  1.       Navigate to the generated workbook (in my case, Iteration #5) and open the workbook.

 


 

  1.       The workbook will appear in a new tab on your browser. Navigate to the worksheet tab labeled ‘Reorganization’.

 


 

  1.       Enter the Reorganization Name, Date, and Description in their respective columns. Then, set the Active Status. Once all required fields have been added or updated, set the Processing Status to "Pending”.

 


  1.       Close the workbook and navigate back to ConfigBot. Under the Actions tab for the same iteration number, click the hamburger menu, and select the "Start Configuration" option from the dropdown menu.

 

 

  1.       The Start Configuration pop-up window will appear. Enter your Workday password and provide any relevant execution notes. Then, select the checkboxes for Reorganization. Finally, click the "Confirm and Start" button.


 

  1.       You can later click the information icon to monitor the progress of your iteration.



  1.   Once the status shows "Complete," return to the workbook to verify that the reorganizations have been successfully added or updated. The corresponding rows and their fields will be highlighted in green, indicating successful execution. Additionally, the Processing Status for each row will have changed to "Processed.

 


  1.   To confirm the changes made, navigate to Reorganization window by searching it through the search bar in Workday Home page. Once there you can see all the reorganizations that are present in the system.

 


  1.   To locate the specific reorganization you created, use the Filter option.


 

12.1: You can filter the columns by Reorganization Name, Date, and Active Status.

 


12.2: Once you select a column, set the appropriate filter condition, and enter the desired Reorganization Name in the value box. Click the Filter button to display the relevant results.



12.3: Click on the Reorganization Name to view its details in a separate window.

 



This confirms a successful execution where a new reorganization was added in the Core HCM module using ConfigBot, ensuring accurate data transfer and configuration within Workday.
