Earnings and Deductions V2 - Deductions.
The following article will help to explain how you can create a new Deductions in Dayforce using Configbot.
- Enter your Username and Password and click at the submit button to login.
- Navigate towards the "Home screen" and click on the "Earning and Deduction V2" module tile under Payroll Setup V2.
- Select the workspace that best suits your preferences or requirements.
- Navigate to the workbook (in my case, Iteration #2) and open the workbook.
- The workbook will appear in a new tab on your browser. Navigate to the worksheet tab labeled ‘Deduction-General’.
- Enter the Unique Name and reference code for Deduction you are creating, then add relevant data, make sure to select category as custom always. In the other Screen Deduction- Tax and Compliance and Deduction- Parameters select similar Deduction name Because they are Connected then add the Country for it and other details as per your relevance. Once done set the processing status to "Pending".
- Close the workbook and navigate back to ConfigBot. Under the Actions tab for the same iteration number, click the hamburger menu, and select the "Start Configuration" option from the dropdown menu.
- The Start Configuration pop-up window will appear. Enter your Dayforce password and provide any relevant execution notes. Then, select the checkbox for Deduction-General. Button as it is connected for all three screens. Finally, click the "Confirm and Start" button.
- You can later click the information icon to monitor the progress of your iteration.
- Once the status shows "Complete," return to the workbook to verify that the Deductions is created and other connected Screen also. The corresponding rows and their fields will be highlighted in green, indicating successful execution. Additionally, the Processing Status for particular rows will be changed to "Processed”.
- Navigate to your Dayforce instance to confirm the changes. Under Deduction, you’ll see the newly created Deduction “ESPR” and its related connected screen "Tax and Compliance" And "Parameters".
This confirms a successful execution where a new Deduction was create in Earning and Deduction V2 module using ConfigBot, ensuring accurate data transfer and configuration within Dayforce.
