Validation Functionality in ConfigBot for Dayforce
The Validation feature in ConfigBot ensures that the data within your workbook is accurately aligned with the corresponding configuration data in the Dayforce instance. It provides a fast and reliable way to verify data consistency, identify discrepancies, and maintain an up-to-date workbook, helping organizations ensure configuration accuracy and streamline deployment activities.
- Enter your Username and Password and click at the submit button to login.

- Navigate to the Home screen and select the 'Org Setup/HR Admin' Module under Org Setup/HR Admin Panel.

- Select the workspace that best suits your preferences or requirements.

- Enter into your Workbook.

- "After opening the workbook, navigate to the 'Jobs' worksheet."

- Set the Processing Status to 'Pending' for the items you want to validate. Only items marked as 'Pending' will be included in the validation process against the instance.

- After closing the workbook, navigate back to ConfigBot. Locate the appropriate iteration under the Actions tab, open the hamburger menu, and choose 'Start Validation' from the available options."

- The Start Validation pop-up window will appear. Enter your Workday password and provide any relevant execution notes. Then, select the checkbox for Jobs. Finally, click the "Confirm and Start" button.

- You can click the Information icon at any time to view and monitor the progress of the iteration.

- "Once the status changes to 'Complete,' return to the workbook to review the validation results. Red highlights indicate that the workbook data does not match the corresponding data in the instance, while green highlights indicate a successful match. Additionally, the Processing Status for all validated rows will be automatically updated to 'Processed'
