ConfigBot DF - Earnings And Deductions - How to Add an Earning.
The following article will help explain on how you can add or update a Earning in Dayforce through ConfigBot.
- Enter your Username and Password and click at the submit button to login.

- Navigate towards the "Home screen" and click on the "Earnings and Deductions" module tile under Payroll Setup.

- Select the workspace that best suits your preferences or requirements.

- Navigate to the workbook (in my case, Iteration #2) and open the workbook.

- The workbook will appear in a new tab on your browser. Navigate to the worksheet tab labeled ‘Earnings’.

- Enter the unique name and reference code for the earning being created, then select the entry type. Each column and field in the workbook depends on the selected entry type and country, so ensure that the appropriate data is entered based on those selections. After completing data entry across all relevant tab sections, set the processing status to pending.
Please note that each section has different fields, and each field is a separate column in the workbook. Ensure that relevant data is entered based on the type, section, and country.

- Close the workbook and navigate back to ConfigBot. Under the Actions tab for the same iteration number, click the hamburger menu, and select the "Start Configuration" option from the drop down menu. In the configuration window add your dayforce instance password, add any relevant notes then select Earnings check box and click at confirm and start button to process Execution.

- You can later click the information icon to monitor the progress of your iteration.

- Once the status shows "Complete," return to the workbook to verify that the Earning is created. The corresponding rows and their fields will be highlighted in green, indicating successful execution. Additionally, the Processing Status for particular rows will be changed to "Processed”.

- Navigate to your Dayforce instance to confirm the changes. Under Earnings, you’ll see the newly created Earning “Bonus” and the data in other sections such as Tax and Compliance is successfully automated, which confirms successful execution.
