ConfigBot WD - How to add or Update Assignable Roles in Security.

Security - Assignable Roles

The following article will help to explain how you can add or update a “Assignable Roles” in Workday through Configbot.

  1. Enter your Username and Password and click on the submit button to login.

  1. Navigate towards the "Home screen" and click on the " Platform Panel" and then Click on Security Module.

  1. Select the workspace that best suits your preferences or requirements.

  1. Navigate to the generated workbook (in my case, Iteration #2) and open the workbook.

  1. Navigate to the worksheet tab labeled as “Assignable Roles”.

  1. Provide the “Role Name”, "Workday Role”, then add “Enable For”, Select Yes or No for "Self Assign", "Restricted to 'Assign Self-Assign Roles' BP" and add remaining information appropriately, then select the processing status as “Pending”.

  1. You can track the progress of iteration by clicking on Information Icon (i).

  1. Once the status shows "Complete," then return to the workbook to confirm that the data was successfully added. The following rows and their fields will be highlighted in green, indicating successful execution. Additionally, the Processing Status will be changed to Processed.

  1. To confirm the changes made, navigate to the "Assignable Role” window by searching for it by name using the search bar on the Workday Home page.

This confirms a successful execution where a new “Assignable Role” was added to the Security Module using ConfigBot, ensuring accurate data transfer and configuration within Workday.

Thank you!
