ConfigBot for ServiceNow - Plugins
Overview:
The Plugins Module in ConfigBot provides comprehensive visibility into the plugins and applications available across ServiceNow instances, along with comparison and validation capabilities to identify configuration differences and verify plugin availability.
It supports the following:
- Plugins: Retrieves plugin records from the ServiceNow instance for analysis and comparison.
- Deprecated Plugins: Retrieves only plugins whose Description contains “Deprecated” or “Obsolete”, helping identify plugins that may require attention or replacement.
- Store Apps: Retrieves ServiceNow Store applications based on the selected filter criteria from the Config sheet. When “Fetch Apps (Updates Available)” is selected, only Store applications with available updates are retreived.
- Compare: Compares plugins and applications across instances to identify differences in availability and configuration.
- Validate: Verifies whether the required plugins are still available and active in the target instance.
This module helps users identify deprecated components, track available Store App updates, validate plugin availability, and efficiently analyse differences across ServiceNow instances without manually reviewing each record.
