ServiceNow Release January 31st, 2026

Jan 31st, 2026 Release

What's New on Site?

ConfigBot for ServiceNow

URL Update

We are switching from app.configbot.ai to app.configbot.io, after release any request to app.configbot.ai will be redirected to app.configbot.io automatically.

New Modules:

  1. Cross-Instance Update Set Analysis

Cross-Instance Update Set Analysis is a powerful feature that quickly highlights migrated changes across the Dev, Stage, Test, and Prod instances. It lets you quickly review differences between instances, such as Business Rules, Notifications, SLAs, and other configuration items reducing the effort and complexity of manually debugging missing configuration items towards the multiple instances. This helps teams manage deployments more effectively.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Instance Comparison:

Compare update sets captured updates from a single source instance against up to three target instances at the same time.

  • Source-Based Analysis:

Choose a source instance and verify whether its update sets updates are available across multiple target instances.

  • Checkbox Indicators:

Clear checkbox indicators provide an at-a-glance view of whether each update set exists in the compared instances.

What’s New in this?

Previously, users were limited to comparing one sheet with a single other sheet. With this module, users can now perform one-to-many comparisons (1 vs. 3), greatly enhancing release tracking and deployment validation.

Benefits

  • Better control and visibility over update set migration
  • Reduced risk of missed or incomplete deployments
  • Faster and more dependable release validation across environments

  1. Content Debugging:

A new column is added to the Debug Knowledge Article Sheet.

Overview:

This field will help clarify cases where a user falls under cannot read and cannot contribute user criteria but can still see the Knowledge Article on the portal due to having admin rights. By adding this field, we will be able to easily identify whether the user has admin access, preventing confusion during debugging.

  1. Knowledge Management

A New column has been added in the Knowledge Article sheet.

The Language column enables users to identify the original language of each knowledge article, quickly understand the article’s language for easier filtering and review, and configure or manage knowledge articles in a specific language.

To support newer ServiceNow releases (e.g., Zurich and later), we’ve introduced Publish Flow and Retire Flow columns in the Knowledge Base sheet.

  1. Groups

New column has been added in the config sheet.

This functionality allows users to retrieve all group members and associated roles from the dependent Group record. By selecting Dependent = Yes and entering the group name in the corresponding column, the bot automatically fetches all related group records.

Deprecated Modules:

  1. Group
  2. Knowledge Management
  3. Content Debugging
